Hi.

I want to use Ableton like Kid Beyond, layering instruments and beatbox and percussion loops together and building tracks on stage, live. I need to get a really reliable and flexible foot pedal. I dont want to invest in behringer, as i dont trust the company to be reliable.

Can anyone recommend anything else?

Thanks, Ben

While VERY happy with my Behringer FCB1010, my next Ableton foot controller will be this one:

And don't be so quick to discount Behringer - they have some shaky stuff, but there are tons of FCB1010 and BCR2000 fanboys around here (myself included) who really love some of their gear.

Those Daft Punk guys must think something of Behringer, too:

Check the BCR2000's front-and-center that drive their shows.

the fcb is built like a tank.
it just takes a little bit of mental effort to initially understand how it works. It took me a day to 'get it'

Behringer could go bust tomorrow and it wouldn't effect that thing. In fact the world could go boom tomorrow and it would probably survive.

When I checked the FCB1010 in a store the plastics on one side was already broken off from too much demoing. So I wouldn't call it "build like a tank". I chose the Roland then which is build from metal all around (though heavier, too).
