I have the same problem. Starting Live or closeing and opening a new song some times takes about 40 sec. I use a Macbook Pro so it really shouldn´t take this long.
I´m using Tiger 10.4.11

Same here.
I switched from Live5.2 to Live7.01, and the loading time is really longer : it always takes more tan 40 seconds.

what kind of soundcard are you using ? i have a lot of problems with a M-Audio firewire 410 because drivers are still in beta version for leopard. is Tiger also unstable with live ?

Same here quite often.
Even got 'Not responding' messages, waited but had to 'End program' in XP.
What should I do to solve this?
Please help...

Slow loading when only shutdown NOD32.
When disable AMON in NOD 32 first and then shutdown NOD 32
Ableton opens much faster.

I use the built in audio on my Macbook pro and a M-audio fast track pro and I am having the same problem on both. Live 7 is very unstable on Tiger. The worst is all the timing problems. Yesterday I turned the send up on a audio track and got a phasing effect without any Fx plugs. Don´t know if I should laugh or cry..

I think we should ask help to ableton.
I 'd stopped Time Machine who was on the same external Hard Disk and reinstalled Live once again and it seems to work fine...
