Complete XP System Freeze w/ Pluggo Runtime Running
Posted: Sun Mar 30, 2008 12:53 am
This is a really weird time consuming problem and I can't seem to narrow it down since i did to much to my lappy in a short amount of time. But any help would be great lads!
Specs: Windows XP Pro w/ Most Services Disabled - Only 13 Running at Startup
HP Pavilion dv8210us AMD64 1.8GHz 2GB RAM Haven't Updated all Drivers
Live 7.0.3
M-Audio Fast Track Ultra w/ Newest Drivers
Pluggo Runtime 3.6.1 running Ms. Pinky VST's
After installing the updated M-Audio Driver, my lappy crashed and I decided to reboot then iron out the kinks. I installed XP Pro and removed all the unnecessary services. Installed M-Audio Driver and Live 7.0.2. All was fine. Installed 7.0.3 and Pluggo. I cant say if this set up was fine because within two days I was working on Vinyl w/ Ms. Pinky.
A couple times already, If I let my computer 1. Reach 80% CPU 2. Idle for just a while: My computer goes unresponsive I have to restart bt holding down the power button. Turn it back on and the screen is completely blank!!
I contacted HP about it. Has something to do with the RAM not clearing. Told me to reseat my RAM [http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docu ... 372748_doc] and that should take care of it. It did, but this issue keeps coming up.
I've also had 3 Buffer Overruns so far. 2 using Ms. Pinky to load the root folder. One Windows didn't tell me.
And I've had the Blue Screen of Death once. M-Audio Driver. Just to let you know. Though I hold to think that was an Effect and not a Cause.
Any help or If you guys want mt to post something else up... Let me know! I'm going to see ig any of the other forums have something about this... Though Live's has always been the best with me!![/b]
