Hey Guys, good to be here!
Just got Ableton Live 6 for Mac (Leopard, Intel) everythings working fine, when i plug in my keyboard (M Audio Axiom 49) it registers everything fine. But when i activate the MIDI button that turns everything blue i can't seem to move any of the controls to assign them to my keyboard. It's like their all frozen!
Any Ideas,
Thanks very much

You've entered MIDI MAP mode.
try moving a dial on your controller, and look at the new window that opened up on the left-hand side of your screen, where it shows all the MIDI maps.
Also, see the manual's section on "MIDI MAPPING" for a step-by-step

ok i've ben through the manual section and still when i activate MIDI MAP MODE everything works fine until i move something on my keyboard and then nothing happens, including nothing in the left hand MIMD MAP screen. But the top right square is indicating that there is an incoming midi signal.
Thanks for your help

Did you keyboard come with the Enigma software ? There should be presets that you can access and then send to your Axiom.

Enigma? I don't think so, but it's defiantly a compatible keyboard - but i wan't to assign my own presets.

So you've:
1. hit MIDI MAP mode
2. Clicked on a parameter in Live you want to control
3. moved the knob/slider you want to hooked up to parameter
4. clicked MIDI MAP mode button again to exit MIDI MAP mode
5. tried moving your hardware knob and see/hear if its controlling the parameter??
and this results in freezing, not MIDI control?

I'm guessing you are skipping step 4.

I'm guessing you might not have set your Axiom to Remote in the midi prefs.
Enigma is not necessary - any of the presets should do if you're just using this one controller.
