Severe glitching

suddenly - with or without external soundcard operating, live does not function without severe glitching from the word go. the cpu is higher tho not through the roof. the only current change to my mac was a recent and seemingly standard security update - anyone help?

I got exactly the same issue with this week's Mac OS X security update...
looks like Apple can't do any update withtout completly ruining the performance... just like it did with 10.4.10...

so any idea how to fix this glitch? it's a bloody nightmare! can u revert back to the previous security version?

I have same problem, tried reverting back, but didn't help - check out the thread on the General Forum for some more info... I'm considering upgrading from Tiger to Leopard just to get rid of this horrible bug!

Upgrading to Leapoard may get you even more problems... last time I upgraded to 10.5 my CPU usage rose for the same tasks and I couldnt use my live setup anymore...

if you plan to intall leopard....just stay to 10.5.1
10.5.2 make audio glitches(even with airport off) ..
after instaling leopard my cpu % is the same than tiger.no problem for me

It's the darn Airport Extreme Update.
If you turn your Airport down the CPU spikes stop.
But with such a lovely solution!
