my god...could this be bad for the R3?

check out this write up i stumbled on......Windows XP and Mac OS X drivers, as well as R3 Sound Editor software come on a CD. With its powerful librarian facilities, the software allows you to edit, save and manage all R3 settings using a simple USB connection. Although the sounds you edit or create using the editor/librarian software can be used in real time on the R3,
at present there is no audio driver support for streaming the R3 output directly to your computer. Because there's no digital output either, it's strictly analog to get a signal into your DAW.
if this is true....i fuckin hate korg. If some one out on the forum can prove
this wrong.....please let me know....cause i have been having serious probs setting this bitch up with LIVE 7. Im sorry, but with the technology today....A synth should be able to have its sounds recorded in a DAW. Peace out.

Hi Hesh,
no need to panic: only very few synths come with a build-in audio interface or the ability to transfer the audio signal digitally into your computer.
If you´re cool with the sounds your R3 is producing then there´s no need to worry about: simply use your Fasttrack pro to record the R3s audio out in Live.
Did you manage to get the setup right with the detailed instructions that were kindly provided in your other thread?
If you should still have problems getting it right, please contact us at
[email protected] It would be helpful if you included screenshots of your current audio and midi/sync preferences in this case.
