I voted it as one of my 3 adds, just for all the long time Live guys, because although I want it, it was about 5th on my list of wants, but I put it in ahead of track folders (figured that would get plenty of requests anyway)

I hadn't even seen that survey before.
I did put it in as one of my wishes just now, the others were closer integration of session and and arrangement and more user-definability and fluidity in the interface.
It was near impossible to whilttle it down to 3 - I mean .. is folder tracks included in "make the interface more fluid and user definable?" I think it is.
Well, just call me "Captain Nebulous Wishes"

my second vote was importable midi mappings, I can see where something like this can leas to conflicting mappings, but man would it make live really feel modular

hey i missed that one, and i'm afraid to try your vocoder as you mentioned it to be cpu intensive. i think i'll only hear snap crackle pop from it.

when I was typing out my outline of how I thought it should work in another thread lately I realised that if I download Live 8 and there is an absolute/relative button in the clip view of every clip then I will quite possibly vanish in a puff of logic....I think then my work would be done on this earth

if we can do it with dummy clips we should be able to simply do it
it's a pain in the ass to midi map everything through the iac bus and use dummy clips
