Ableton Forum

Hi

I am probably being a pain in the arse with all my probably very basic questions, so i apologise before hand as i about to unleash a lot of questions on you all !

I am running a Roland Synth through an audio track on ableton, there is a massive delay from the time i hit a key to the time it comes through the speakers. is this latency? is their a thread on these forums about this already? I suspect there probably is?

And is there a thread for complete newbies to ableton? as i feel stupid asking basic questions compared to other complete mind boggling stuff i see the more pro users asking !

Just to add to this, I NEVER had any of these problems when i was usin XP, it seems now i have a new laptop which came with Vista pre-installed, nothing is fucking working properly.
