Drifting midiclock in arrangement loop

As the title says... I *only* get this when looping a region in arrangement view and Live being the master.

Seems to me as if the midi clock misses out on a couple of messages with each loop cycle. Eventually after 3 or 4 passes the clock is in sync again for the duration of 1 pass but continues to drift on the next.

This is with no plugins loaded, just pure midi.

I tried different audio buffers, cables, midi interfaces, outboard gear, midiclock modes, ports, delay compensations etc.... it's 100% reproducable for me.

My system: Live 7.0.3, XP SP2 (Athlon 64 X2), RME Hammerfall DSP Multiface

can any1 confirm this?

while testing a bit more i can definitely say that this issue has been introduced with 7.0.3.

7.0.2 has no 'midiclock loop drift' using the exact same setup.

Hello Hexdump,

We´re investigating in the Live 7.0.3 MIDI clock issues - stay tuned!

@ableton: any news on that one?

@rest: has anybody been able to reproduce this?

ah yes...seems similar.

funny that it only happens with the ultralite, though.
might it be a firewire bandwidth issue ?

Note that the RME hammerfall interfaces (Multiface I + II, RPM etc.) are not related to firewire. They operate via Cardbus/ExpressCard.
