I did not have issues before I got my new Mac....
I am simply trying to dj in Live running into two channels on a mixer. Sound card is running two channels into two sepret mixer channels. Arrange mode is assigned correctly to run into two sepret channels yet I cant cue b/c both channels from live are playing on the same channel on the mixer.
Tried messing around with Input Configuring but only have two channels to send...
Anyone have ideas it would be appreciated....
Thanks

So just to be sure. Do you have something like this set-up in live?
Ableton Track 1 --> Output --> Ext Out --> 1/2
Ableton Track 2 --> Output --> Ext Out --> 3/4

That is where the issues is coming from….Ableton is only showing me
Ableton Track 1 --> Output --> Ext Out --> 1 /2
Nothing is showing for 3 / 4
Any idea how I get 3 / 4 to be an option on the sound configuration?

Hi Ripp,
if your soundcard has two separate stereo outs, then they should be visible in audio preferences/ output config. Simply activate 3/4 in there to have this second stereo pair available in the track´s I-O section.

I am using a M-Audio FastTrack Pro.
Ableton is not offering me the option of 3 / 4 so that I can use two diffrent channels on the mixer.
Could this be an issue with the sound card? Only option I could think of was uninstall and then reinstall the driver on the FastTrack.
Thanks for any and all advice on how to fix this!!!

Hello Ripp,
The amount of available outputs depends on your soundcard and the used driver.
All available outputs will appear in the Live Preferences/audio tab and can be activated/de-activated there.

Check in the Ableton's Preferences --> in the audio tab - that you have selected the correct driver for your card.
On a Mac you may even see several instances of the same driver listed in the Ableton Preferences. Choose the one with the Soundtrack Pro name (not the internal Mac drivers). If you have several Soundtrack Pro drivers listed, chose the one that will give you multiple outs - you may have to try several times until you get the right one.

if anyone else has this issue try uninstalling and then reinstalling the M Audio driver. I did it and i got the 3/4 option on the Audio Config.
