Not what I'm seeing.

E.g. I'm getting this message every 4 bars when there is a loop at all. My clip has a loop at bar 65 or something, Live sends the message after bar 4 - 8 - etc. Why oh why? :?

I'm pretty sure the error lies with you and not with Live.
I've been working with this feature pretty intensively the past months.

When you trigger a clip you get 126. When the clip starts you get 127. When it repeats you get 1 and when it stops you get 0.

If you're not getting any messages at all, then it means you haven't set it up correctly. You need to enable a remote output to get the messages from.
No other options need to be set. This feature is standard in Live 7.

Working fine since day one. Nice led feedback on my controller. Thanks for asking.

I am getting messages. How would I be able to tell I'm seeing the #1 message every 4 bars?

I'm pretty deep into this right now and I'll recheck it tonight, but for now, what do you see when you have a song (or other long sample) in a clip, with a loop somewhere at the end (bar > 4).

When you start the clip tell me you don't get the loop message after a couple of bars (in my case, bar 4 and 8 etc)...

Lets say I have a 2 bar clip. Only the last bar is looping. Here are the messages I get:

Trigger Clip = 126
Clip starts at Bar 1 = 127
Loop starts at Bar 2 = 1
Loop repeats at Bar 2 = 1
Loop repeats at Bar 2 = 1
Loop repeats at Bar 2 = 1
Loop repeats at Bar 2 = 1
Loop repeats at Bar 2 = 1
Loop repeats at Bar 2 = 1
.....
Clip stops = 0

Sure.

Which I why I said: take a long clip.

Please re-read my posts to get the complete picture.

My explaining skills might be lacking because of all this non-native-language crap. ;)

Ok. Found the bug.

The messages take loop length in account. But not the loop start position.
So if you have a 65 Bars clip with a 21 Bars loop length at the end, you'll receive the "1" at the 21 bar mark. While it should be sent at the 45 Bar mark.

Nice find. Didn't spot it because I use follow actions for clips leading into a loop.

I'd rather didn't... ;)
There are always bugs to be found. Sometimes they go unnoticed for years. As may be the case here. I suggest you rename the title of your thread so Ableton knows for sure its a bug.
