congratulations mate - well done !
Always nice to read an Ableton Live success story, particularly after that terrible beatboxer guy who could sing about 5 notes in tune in American Idol last year who almost ruined the experience for me

nice one, if you are a registere member of the prs society (im sure its this one, or perhaps the other one i cant remember) radio 1 pay about 20 quid a minute royalties for your track. worth siging up to collect, im sure you have 3 months to do it.
congrats,

Check out these:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/onemusic/ma ... lp01.shtml
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/onemusic/ma ... sp01.shtml
Thes econd one is more relevant. Because of the size of radio 1 they report every song they play to the PRS, and they pay a massive royalty licence to the prs for the rights to play peoples tracks. Back in 2003 when i was at college doing music management course they rate was £19 per minute, so it will be different today, im not sure what it is. Turns out readin the pages above that it costs £100 to jon the prs, but if your track is getting repeat plays then it could be worth it.
it works like this: radio 1 tells the prs it played your track for example 4 minutes, so the prs takes 4 minutes worth of the licence fee and allocates it to you(the member). Then, when royalty payment time comes (i think that its twice a year) you get sent a cheque, minus the admin costs.
there is obviously a bit more to it than that, but essentially that is it. There are probably a few things you need to do in order to join, but the radio1 page listed above is pretty helpful.
