The 'Blue hand' does not appear when I select a specific device in a rack using mackiecontrol.
Is it normal?

im not sure but you dont really need it, just select the track & hit instruments/fx button & you can scroll every parameter

yes that is normal

automapping/ instant mapping / blue hand is different than mackie control

I think if you have the programming skillz0r then it's possible to run both on the same device simultaneously. I haven't yet tried that but intend to someday
