Hi,

i have been running the motu with live for the past week with no problems. Its a great card with many inputs and outputs. I use it with my Macbook and record my machinedrum and monomachine. Haven´t had any glitches or problems yet. The built-in dsp i great and the eq and compressor sounds good. The only downside i have experienced is that, for the first time in my life, i had to really read the manual to get up and running! Its a pretty powerful and advanced interface.

I´m very happy with the motu.

I use RME and they are amazing. The fireface drivers/mixer allows for digital re-routing of the ADAT and SP/DIf channels, which means you can multitrack bounce from Live to another app in realtime. THey are not compatible with all macs though...some people have problems with their laptops, though I don't know the specifics. Something about a cheap firewire chipset

i went with the 828mkIII its cheaper and i am using a api a2d and a benchmark dac-1 for converters so i just saved the few hundred dollars and put it to stylus rmx so thanks to all

How did you save money with a 828 Mk3, DAC-1 (nice btw), and API a2d? That's a LOT more than a fireface400.
