I am doing visuals at a techno show that I guess is trance, went for their last event to check the venue and have filmed a bit- will edit some of that tonight so you might pick up some moves-at least there was one truly hot dancer. Never before seen people moving the way they did, the whole place was like another universe. Apart from the hand in the air the most tarnce DJ move is one arm forward in cutting fashion other one with bent elbow back done in a jerky way, got to practice that for the May gig.

I used to go to trance clubs and I kind of rythmically punched the air. I once saw two people doing heavy metal-style headbanging in a tarnce club which really impressed me, so I tried it. But everyone just looked at me like I was a cock. And rightly so.

And now I have to go and kill myself.
Always started off slowly with the one small arm movement before really getting going.
I'd like it known though, it was definately more to techno than trance.

I've always been a fan of 'the sprinkler'. right arm extended out like John Travolta, left hand tapping the back of your head as you pan across the room real slow then back across fast.

I was once unfortunate enough to wonder into a Sasha and Digweed set. For the brief time I was there the music was nothing but hum-thump-hum-thump-hum-thump-hum-thump. 70% of the crowd was sitting on the floor, sucking on candy, and staring into space while occasionally ducking from a nonexistent swarm of bees. Luckily Bjork was playing about 100 yards away so I made a hasty exit.
