Virus TI Polar-- to sell or not to sell

I was looking into selling my polar and maybe getting a soft synth that has similar sounds. I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions. I already have Reason and Ableton suite, & operator. I think Reactor would probably be over my head... I've heard people mention Zebra2. I mainly do a mixture of R&B/Hip Hop/ with some house/trance elements. Any suggestions would be great. The Virus is great but it's too much overkill and I could probably sell it and get some other toys.. V-Synth???

thanks,

i have a Polar myself and am quite happy with it, so my advice would be to keep it.

However if you're feeling hard pressed for money and want a cheaper soft-synth counterpart, you might want to try Zebra2 or Massive.

I don't think trading your Polar for a V-Synth is a great idea. But that's just me. maybe i'm wrong

Zebra is a very capable synth, but if I had the choice between Zebra or a Polar, I would jump at the polar. So I would say keep it. :-)

A friend suggested to get Kore2/Komplete 5... I've heard it's a CPU hog... Anyone have any experience on the workflow of the Kore controller.. Is it intuitive?

Id say switch out the Virus TI for an indigo or Virus c or even a waldorf q . From what ive seen the TI part is pretty flakey, but the hands on control of having hardware is a big benefit. switch it out and you will prob have some money left over to buy more stuff.

NI have come a long way with Kore 2. works really nicely, I know i probably stand alone on this one but im not a big fan of the "NI sound". Great sound design and all, but a bit to clean and clinical for my taste

If you're selling, I'd be interested in buying. :D

+1 for keeping the virus, then again it is all up to your workflow.
I think the v-synth is overrated myself.
