Free hosting sites that can link directly to audio files?

I know there's a million sites that offer free hosting of files for the purpose of storage/sharing, but are there any free hosting sites where I can upload an audio file and then send a direct link to that file?

For example, if I created an audio file named Track1.mp3 and the site was called www.freehosting.com, I would want to be able to send a link to someone that's basically:

www.freehosting.com/mypage/Track1.mp3

...to avoid anyone having to click through all those timed pages that most sites have, and just go straight to my file and hear the track.

Cheers,

FF

Bump?

I'm super curious about this too. I feel like I've researched the crap out of it and come up empty.

thanks.

I use archive.org for hosting audio files. But usually only the final version of tracks for public consumption though, not for trading snippets and stuff back and forth.

Fileden is working great for me.
I could be wrong, but it seems a touch slow. It is FREE however, so complaints are silly. The uploader is pretty good, and there's a straightforward workaround for batch uploading.

I had been using the free 100Mb of Googlepages (This post was an explanation of my travels in hosting/posting, there are a couple other suggestions in the replys), but 100Mb went pretty quickly.

Thanks for Fileden!
