some of you may have heard my occasional murmurings about my new tutorial video series in the works, well now it's finally up online!

perhaps it's just me, but this reads oddly:

Surely : "get the rhythm tracks in your electronic music noticed" , or
"make the rhythm tracks in your electronic music stand out".
Did I miss the main point of this thread?

BTW Angstrom - you're not the first one to make the porn star comment on that name
I'll put up a Live pack in a few hours that shows the kit etc
I seem to recall it's possible to somehow make your own content for the Lessons window? Anyone remember how to to that?

below is a Live pack with a Live set containing the original unimpressive beat box sample that the kit was made out of, then a sliced version of it to show the kit's base state, then the final resulting kit.
keep the info text view open to get a little explanation on the track headers
basically this series is more of an exercise in sound design and synthesis using mainly Simpler and some of Live's effects - hence the point of using the crappy beatbox from my very own vocal cords - to really demonstrate that you can start with literally anything and make it usable.

Good vid. You know your stuff.
On;y suggestion I'd make is to slightly extend the gap u leave for the viewwer to hear the new state of the sample.
I like the kick u came up with to.
Very good illustrative example by using that beatbox sample too.
