Weird Issue (volume Change + PresonusFirebox)

Okay so I plug in a Firewire audio interface to my iMac, and now when I try to change the volume on the imac.. it doesn't change the volume on the interface (sound works fine, and it's been manually changed also to the interface in sys prefs.. anyone got any idea what'd cause this? It's a presonus firebox (not to get mixed up with the firepod).

if the mac driver for the firebox is anything like the PC driver, then you have to change volume through the firebox mixer app, not through the system applet as it disables it.

It's come and go, it used to be fine in Tiger, still happened. but not as badly. This time round it seems to not let me at all..

that's 'cos the firebox has its own mixer app.

I see, so it was a glitch when I WAS able to actually change the volume on the firebox from osx?
