Shortest way to find/replace missing samples?

Does anyone of you know a shorter way to find/replace missing samples inside a project than double-clicking the sample, setting a folder and beginning a scan?

I just began to restructure my sample library since my old folder system wasn't up to the task anymore. Of course now in many of my projects the links to the samples need to be updated.

Would be nice if anyone who stumbled across the same problem could give me an answer how to make this process less time consuming.

Thanks!

if you manage the project, not the file, you can replace all samples in the project at one time (potentially) ;)

also you could create a "master" project folder for all your projects, put all the individual song projects in there

manage that,

should show all missing samples across all of your projects...

have a break while it searches

the ones you'll be left with are the multiple candidates, etc. which you'll have to point it to manually.

what you need to do is download something like Locate32 or use spotlight if on mac and find the first sample there then drag the folder it's in to the area under the "search folder" button

then make sure no other options are enabled then click "go"
