I had crackling audio issues after i upgraded, but then i tried 7.03 and had the same issues. So I turned off Airport and it all went away.

7.0.5 working fine so far.

Why don't you just try it. That's what uninstall is for :)

On Macbook Pro 10.4......

Can't adjust the buffer. You can but you get the beach ball forever and when you move the cursor it doesn't show the value moving. So you are just stuck with whatever it decides after the beach ball is done. Posted this in the bugs forum and a lot of other people are having the same issue. No response from the Abes.

Also takes forever to apply when I pick my audio interface.

On one song it magically replaced a VST instrument with a random simpler instrument.

all kinds of crackles and glitches but haven't tried switching off airport.

7.05 has worked fine for me, perhaps I just haven't been near anything that is malfunctioning - but I can only report what I know.

same here. 7.0.3 wasn't very clean, but .5 is.

once I went from 1Gb RAM to 2Gb RAM 7.03 has been rock solid for me, I leave it on for days, even weeks on end. that rock might be sandstone (it's not without quirks, like handling controllers on a PC) but I would definitely call 7.03 usable on my machine. 7.01 was annoying.

I had weird install problems with 7.03 and my library and I was in the middle of a big project so I backed away from it.

You know, maybe because I am not using MIDI controllers (except for playing vstis, but given I only have an old MIDI controller that does not have lots of knobs and sliders for macros etc) I haven't experienced any problems with any releases of Live 7.

I also think that multicore processors are not yet properly optimized and need work, most people who are experiencing problems seem to be the one either using MIDI controllers for Djing/triggering clips/macros etc or have dual or quad core processors. My ageing single core P4 might need some help with track freezing but is very solid with Live 7.

Live 7.0.5 is just fine on my system, touch wood !

Since installing 7.05 I've been having an incredible amount of system crashes (usually when loading a set). Live just freezes & I have to cut the power & reboot the computer. I've been using Live extensively for a couple of years & have never had this kind of problem before.

I went back to 7.0.3 still investigating the issue.
It seems that CPU spikes and jitter are delivered more frequently on 7.0.5 than 7.0.3. BTW it's difficult to nail down to a series of events so it'll take time.
So far Analog fires more jitters and Spikes even using the standard presets.
It seems that 7.0.5 is more CPU hungry.

I'm getting CPU spikes when i use a FW interface that is also carrying MIDI.
I'm trying sync my nord modular to live using a ZERO8. I'm also having similar but not quite a serious issues with the same set up but subbing the ZERO8 with a presonus fire box,,,
I have no idea if this is a live 7.0.5 issue or a MacBook pro issue,,,
Although bot FW interfaces work just dandy using Logic 8,,,
