My first track was to figure out what is possible in Live... guess most of us did the same thing.

I once said that you have to create hundrets of songs before you can actually release one, and am still thinking that's right. My first songs had some good ideas in them and some will maybe released after a rework, but never in their original form. You always discover new things that make your sound better.

Maybe there's somebody who did relase every single thing he made, but that must be a genius.

no!

unless you are a genius it takes long years before you can release something valid.

Yes, countless.

There are lots of artists who use a studio engineer to do the technical stuff (and sometimes a lot of the music-writing) for them.

I have about 150 tracks in progress 8O

Sounds much if you just got into producing, but that's really the best way for me to work.

I see it this way, first i produce my ideas in live and then i put the track in my "Track Cellar" yes like in a real Wine Cellar!

After a while i listen to the tracks i did produce some time ago, and now it is like a good wine or a bad tasting wine!

The bad tasting tracks will stay in the cellar some time to get through my own taste filter later on, or they will be sorted out. No one want to drink a bad wine....

The good tasting tracks will be my baby's!

I pick up the best ideas and tracks and then i arrange them in the way i feel is right. That way i can sometimes put together 2 or three ep's in one week.

I think it's really important to get some distance to my ideas before i do further arranging and mastering...

And yes sometimes i get really proud of myself, when i listen to a good wine that i did time ago, but i didn't remember anymore, that's give me that good feeling in my music heart...

It must taste like a good wine in your ears! Then it's just time to finish the idea.... 8)

LOL, lemme guess... you just put some vengeance loops together that sound good and now want to retire from the profits?

before we mock and make fun, how about we ask the OP to post the song so we can judge it for ourselves :)

i played my first piano composition in school assembly, it seemed to go down pretty well, apart from the getting beaten up and stuff

music is a numbers game. Make a lot of tracks and sort through them and pick the best ones.

It would have been so much cooler if you said something like "Music is like a giant burrito...you never know when you'll bite into that perfect refried bean..."

no, no one, anywhere, ever.

or, the real answer, yes, of course, many, many people (there's a lot of people playing this game).
