The install process sucked for me too. The install window would disappear and reappear before completion, but I was too scared to touch anything fearing I would crash the install.
I just reloaded windows 7 and forgot I had to do this again...

I had a similar issue with the EIC 2 wood winds disc for ableton live.
I contacted ableton support, they emailed me the link for the download and sent a new dvd.
