Is there a way to prevent Ableton from renaming my files after track freeze? I'm trying to use Live as an editor but it's a pain when it keeps renaming all my files.

what do you wish that it would name the file?

it is creating a new file for the freeze, in <current poject>/Samples/Processed/Freeze (or close to that path, not looking at it atm)

we just dont want it to add the Freeze extension when changing it to audio.

This is surely is not, and never was, about renaming of files but about the renaming of clips. Right?

Did anyone even make a suggestion for this at any point? Just writing in the forums will not change anything.

yes. This is ridiculous. I have even tried to rename clips before and after freezing and nothing helps. The samples just get an idiotic random name, so there is no way to know, if I am sampling multiple notes or velocities, which is which. Maschine names the sample by the name of the group, instrument and the clip name, so I can make a sample at 16 velocities and know which is which by naming the clip for each one. It is ridiculous I made massive clip setups for resampling instruments and everything is drag and drop, but the lack of a coherent sample naming system absolutely makes Ableton USELESS for this.
