know what's really cool? do that, then put the snare on the 2 and the 4, they call that 'the New York drum trick'. then something about hi hats on 8th notes but I couldn't follow at that point.

what is this 'velocity' you speak of? I have a plug in that's telling me I have velocities in my tracks and my tracks sound better when velocity is set to zero, how can I fix this? is it expensive? PC only please.
