Not even finished, but i am not moving on until i perfect this part of the song.

I don't know if anyone feels what i feel when writing tunes but. After a period of time where your working on a tune and your working on it so much you get bored of it? You think "fuck this tunes shit man" and then i want to start again

Its like starting to write an essay, plan it all. Then write the first paragraph and think, nar this is shit.... start again...... its like i can't hit the spot. ........ tell me i am not alone?

I also feel as if there is something just lacking in my tunes, they feel so robotic and lack feeling and groove? I am not using that groove quantizing in Live, cos i don't know how to? Maybe i should spend some more time on that.

I just feel as if my tunes are like boring and don't really project my thoughts and feelings.

It doesn't help with a brother who slams you for not getting anything done in a period of time. Sometimes i wanna slap him cos he doesn't understand the effort going into song writing. Fucken DJs..... anyway

I am starting to write an essay, but yeah.

Oh and the drop at like 1 min i am thinking of having some white noise, side-chained that filters away or something, i dunno.

Ha noop! not alone on that one. I have about 150 session tracks, some that only have just a beat or some broken melody. Its just alot to learn! Every time I open a music theory book, a sound reference book I feel a little more connected. Its all about your craft, a little theory, a lot of imagination. The easiest trick is if it starts to get boring ...start taken stuff out, change up the drums and slam back into a modified version of what was. Get heaver get louder, softer, go back to the beginning. Hay I'm learning too, I'm start'n to think about some classes at a local collage., maybe learn a bit there. But it seems that the longer I push on the better it gets. or maybe not. its all in prospective, its fu@king art.

Your demo sound pretty damn good, just drop that bass in there at the 1 min marker ...that would be the end of that demo you posted, and go on to the hard line! Big C time!
