Any one know how to make their kick drums sound as good as this got them pumping in this bodyrox remake.

Im sure its all to do with the compression and gains, however um having trouble getting any thing sounding as solid.

Layer multiple kicks. Selectively EQ each sample to preserve the part you want in the final sound (eg. the boom from one, the thump from another, and the snap from a third). Then you can shape the combination as a whole with more EQ, compression, and even a bit of saturation or tube distortion. Bounce the finished product into a new kick sample.
