MPD32 forgetting global settings?

hi there
i recently got my mpd32. it seems to forget the global settings when turned off(disconnected from usb) like midi clock set from internal to external or pad threshold. is this normal for the mpd32 or is just my mpd broken? i can save presets and they are remembered, its just the settings in the global menu that get set back to factory default.
besides this, i'm so happy with this thing. i made a mpd preset where the pads are set to notes in scales (minor/minor pentatonic/arabian and bulgarian mixolydian). in addition to that i made a rack where i can play the according chords to the notes and switch octaves, it's easy one finger chord heaven
if anyone is interested in this, i can upload the files.
greetings

Hey, i just got the mpd32 a week ago, mine does the same thing. frustrating as hell, havn't figured out how to sort it yet!
it is a great bit of kit, replaced my simple but effective mpd16

I know it can save presets but I haven't tried.
(Not saying this in a jerkish way) have you read the PDF manual on the librarian disk? Much more in depth (although still badly written) then the printed manual.

yea i had a quick read through the .pdf manual, its not very well written like you say, in the global section all it says it "scroll to globals (page 9)....and press enter to save global settings on the mpd32"
not very detailed!
oh well, hopefully they'll bring out some driver updates soon

Driver updates?
WTF?
Sorry but its easy. Once you make your changes, go to SAVE SETUP (the 9th option) and press ENTER.
Im on version 1.01 and it is working perfect for me.

OOPS!
Sorry for being so arrogant. I wont edit that last comment - You can all laugh at me squirm instead.
Indeed, mine does seem to be forgetting the "PAD THRESH" parameter for some reason!
How annoying!

just re-tested my MPD32 and it is saving some global settings... the ones it is not saving are:
Pad Threshold
Midi Clock (int/ext)
Tap Average
can anyone confirm if this is the same for their unit?
cheers,
chris

apologies for the many replies to my own messages...
i submitted a support request to akaipro about this issues, and got the following response (take a deep breath):
"This is normal. At this time not all of the Global parameters can be saved
and recalled."
i replied (politely!) and asked if there were plans to fix this in a firmware update. response:
"Our engineers are aware of this though there is no official ETA on when this
will be implemented. "

I was having trouble saving presets. I found that if I close Live and other apps, and try to save again it seems to take better.

I noticed this problem while editing the S-function buttons from Toggle to Momentary mode. Luckily the S buttons are set to Momentary Mode on Controller page 2 though so I was able to make due.

Hey RevA this sounds pretty cool, I would love to check out what you've done there. Any chance of an upload?
Cheers!

Has anyone managed to get the MIDI THRU working on the MPD32?

More fun.
Just trying to upgrade the firmware, and it has deleted the old OS and not installing the new one.
I'm gonna bust a fucking nut.
