1920x1200 is widescreen spec, most 15.4" aren't widescreen. but yeah, anything less than 1024 vertical pixels is really sub-par - that's the main reason I'm not on a macbook right now, that display was just a deal-breaker for me (even though the quality of the display itself looks pretty good to me.)Deft wrote:How much pixel density do you want though on a 15.4" screen?
I wondered about this when I was buying. Maybe the next one up, but I think 1920x1200 would be too much for my poor old eyes.

1280x800 is still widescreen - most laptops are widescreen nowadays aren't they? I'd rather they were still 4:3 but obviously I am in the minority.
Higher res obviously looks nice but I think would make DAW controls a bit painful on certain screen sizes.
