Sustained midi notes stuck in recordings

Sometimes when I uses the sustain pedal in my midi recordings, it slips into an infinite sustain. This then stays stuck in my recordings. Ugh. How can I strip it out? I've tried adjusting the sound generator (in this case the sustain parameter in Simpler or the associated macro) and I've tried adjusting the midi envelope at the track level. Neither yeields an effect.
Thanks for any help,

I'm now using an Axiom 61, not the e-keys posted my tag line.

I've figured out a couple workarounds, but the problem is back and I would like to figure it out once and for all.
I figured out that it's not a matter of the sustain pedal on my jazz organ part, because when I edit it in the clip envelope it definitely says "off" when it's getting stuck.
Anybody have a solution?
Thanks

That's crazy because I'm having the same problem. It's almost like a glitch of sorts that suddenly enters into my midi loops. I'm clueless as well. Very frustrating.

If you have M4L, I have posted a "M4L Sustainer" patch to maxforlive.com. It changes sustain pedal into note duration on the fly. I insert it between my controller inputs and the tracks I'm recording, so that I never record CC64 events. This fixes the hanging note problem and also makes it much easier to edit the MIDI note data afterwards without worrying about moving the CC64 events also.

I never quite figured out what the problem was. I've switched over to Logic since then. Weirdly, I had a similar problem in Logic a few times but not enough for it really to matter.
