anyone using kurzweil ksp8 mlan?

Hello,
Long ago (osx 10.2, live 3, ksp8 1.5) i tried using mLan option on the ksp8, hearing of insane performance under logic and osx (practically NO latency - for real). So, wanting to simplify my setup and ditch my RME, i was game. Unfortuneatly, with the above versions, it didn't work well at all with live. very bad.
So, being that there is much better mLan on osx 10.3.3 and there is new Kurzweil software to go with it, was wondering if anyone is using it with Live. If anyone is, let me know. Hoping it works!

I use a Presonus Firestation which runs on mLan interface. It works beautifully in 10.3.3 via a universal mLan driver. The Firestation also worked in Jaguar via its own driver so maybe the issue with the KSP8 is different.
I'm also in the market for the KSP8 so would love to know how it goes and how the processor is in general.

mLAN wasn't really supported properly before x.3.3 - just ask 01X users
How do you rate the KSP8, BTW? It looks almost too brilliant to be true..?

hello,
i'm going to try and get my hands on an mlan when i can and i'll let all know what my results are. i think now that the os support is mature, i'm hoping for the performance i've heard people get from logic.
i love my ksp8. i think it's top quality. i'm not a pro, but it's my only fx processor, and i don't see a need for another. i'm hoping that if i get the audio io performance i want, i'm only going to be using my mac laptop, nord modular and live and ksp8. i'm having wet dreams just thinking about sequence midi control stuff for ksp8 paramaters along with clips and seaparte from clips. it's pretty flexible and powerful and the sound quality is great to my ears. and, doesn't tax the cpu!
with audio io (4 in out) thrown in with fx processing, i think it's a good deal. and, i've gotten personal service from kurzweil when i've posted questions about mlan performance, and they were genuinely interested in making sure thier product and mlan was top notch.
more later (now, if only i had the time!).

Not sure if it can be of interest for a Mac user, as I am on PC, but my Live 4 beta setup works well atm, with 24 ins, 18 outs and 5 midi i/o over 1 mLAN connection (Yam 01x). I read somewhere that one should be sparse with i/o channels in Live in order to preserve CPU, but honestly, I can´t see much difference when I switch to a plain 2 ins 2 outs setup. I do take it easy on latency settings tho (14ms out, 13ms in), but that´s rather to put on the account of the mLAN driver which cannot atm, as you may know, run at full speed without some glitches. Yam is working hard at solving some low level issues, so it will hopefully improve in a near future. I would not consider mLAN as an easy buy-plug-n-play solution, it does demand some tweaking, and it is not flawless so far. But honestly, I´m far from unhappy with my setup.
Stay safe,
