and it was fun.

heh, I've probably been to nearly as many gay bars/clubs as I have 'straight' ones. thats one of the perils of being friendly with those damn homos.

my advice:
not all gay clubs are 'gay-lite', with polite scatterings of girls and respectful chaps. Some of them are sweaty g-string big-gay-body grope-fests. Find yourself at a club like that and you will be like a deer in headlights. Gay men in proper gay clubs are quite up front with the old 'sexuality'.

Dude, I would just be careful how drunk you get in a place like that. You may find yourself having uncontrolled bowel movements in the morning.

a party i played at a few months ago was held at a gay club. The crowd was pretty varied that night though, since it was a party and not a "usual" night at that club. Still an assload of gay people there, but that's not so strange in the club scene anyways, so the crowd was an average party crowd.

so, i'm not sure if it counts.
