Is there a way to speed up a sample dropped into the drum rack? I know this can be done using impulse but the drum rack is so much cooler, except I cant figure out how to QUICKLY manipulate the speed at which a sample plays.

Is it just me or is this annoying as hell. After you drop a sample into either impulse or drum rack, you cant drop the sample back out to manipulate it tha way. Am I missing something here? cause if I need to find that same sample in the middle of a song I have to go back and find it, in the middle of a song, unless I saved that particular sample in the sample folder. Is saving the sample the only way to take it back to the arrangment view so I can manipulate the sample however I like?
