Hi All
so short story is I dont have reason 3 any more.Had a copy from a band I was in and new computer so no more reason. I have a few refills that have some drums that I'm yet to use. Is there a way to get them out of the refills so I can use them in live7 ?

There's a free third party app called refillviewer.
With this you can extract samples and rex files from refills.
I think it might be discontinued but google it. It's surely available somewhere.

that thing looked like a real pain.
I didn't get way into testing it but it appeared to be able to extract files one at a time, which would suck

Im not sure how but I got it to work fine. You just select all the subfiles you are interestered in within a refill file and choose "extract and unpack".
Then you can select a new folder where those files will be put as individual files.

Your best bet is to find someone with a copy of reason and get them to export the rex's to audio which you could then chop again, its a mountain of work however you approach it though.

Yeah easy but I've kept away from cracks for the last couple of years . all legit. I'm trying to work soley in the live suite environment so getting the rex's into live would be awesome. I find I get more done using less software. Less messing around

How do you get the rex's files out of Reason?
You export them as wav's and then rex them yourself.
Or else use that app mentioned above... ...if you can get it, as you cannot buy it as it goes against props EULA

How do you get the rex's files out of Reason?"
The unpacker program exported them all to a new folder as rex files .It tokk about 20 seconds to do the whole lot . Took a while to get it to work as the exe. has to be in the right spot, and you need reason 3 on the computer your doing it on .So it was good for me as my old computer still has reason on it .
Since I got operator I was only really using reason for the rex player anyway so its the perfect solution for me

Also, it will only corrupt wav files with the .WAV extension (as opposed to .wav), it will extract rex, rex2 and aiffs perfectly. And select all the ones you want then right-click > extract and unpack rather than going one by one.
