hmm...odd..Despite the advantage of using more RAM, there is not much benefit of using a 64-bit OS - at least not for audio applications.
that is, if sample-engines are not counted as audio applications...
Running many Vst-i's seems to benefit a lot from the extra RAM, as shown here:

I have not many problems running it in VISTA. Granted its on a brand new PC with fresh install and it is locked down from installing other wanky little programs etc.
The only progam I have never had an issue with regarding stability is Reason. Its feels like hardware and always does what it is supposed to do.

True, I thought of that after the fact. I was happy though that Ableton gaveI would not post messages from staff on Forum as they might start being very carfull giving honest replys about opinions on operating systems.
a good response. Did not post to bash ableton just to get the info out there.
