You sold the license but never actually handed the numbers/activation over and had your license for cancelled for a mistaken, incomplete transaction?

I haven't actually taken the money from the dude, I said I would transfer the license into his name before her gave me the money. I sold it on Trademe, which is kinda like ebay, but in New Zealand...
Now Im gonna have to apologize to the poor guy and tell him that I cant transfer the license to him and then try to get my fees back from trademe.

All this guy needed to do was say that the license wasn't transferable and suggest you refund the person you sold it to.

Cancelling your license imediately after you tried in good faith (mistakenly, perhaps) to get it transfered through proper channels is completely unacceptable.

just to clear it why i enjoy Tone2's policy: They DO have a 20€ license transfer fee, but i think thats fair enough. 20€ is not much more than a large pizza, and i like to support developers. Also because they do it manually and have to deal with shareit etcettera.

I have deldeted my Refx product from my computer and won't be buying anything else from them. I had decided that anyway but this post just confirms matters for me. It might also be worth looking into whether what they have done is actually legal.

just to confirm this:
there is no word about selling or not selling the license on the "normal"
part of their website.
i just read the terms & conditions on their website (which are the ones of shareit) and there is a lot talking about "license" and "licensed" and blah,
but no word about selling the license. they just refer to the additional terms & conditions coming with the software.

so YES, it seems to be officially forbidden (which is stupid), but it is hidden as much as possible, so you get the information after paying and you have to cancel the whole purchase if you don't agree.

in contrast other companies have large and easy to find FAQs about licenses and stuff on their homepage........so.............

BOOOOOOOO, reFX :!: :!: :!:

not to speak about this Mike guy. unacceptable !
