problem with live,logic novation sl25

hi all,
i have live slaved to logic with the SL as my controller.
i have a beat repeat on a drum loop in live and i want to record into logic pro while using the sl to mangle it on the fly,
however the sl wont recognise the beat repeat even with the blue hand on
the pref says it cant be done
can it?
