Hey everyone,

I received all the unbounced tracks of our recording with my band and I wanted to render them my self by choosing some tracks in order to rehearse with only the drummer. This me I have for example 2 tracks for 1 guitar part (as they were 2 mics while recording that part) and I'd need to render them together in order to get the sound we have on the album. This worked with the bass, the drums but for not for one of the guitar parts. They're both WAV files, same size, same lenght (4.42 while hitting "space" on them in Finder) but when I drag them into live one of them is played way faster, and there's no reason for that to happen. I tried different things but I seems I can't get it right. And it looks like

Hello city_glow,

If the recordings were made with Live, this problem could be easily avoided using the
"collect all and save function" and sharing the resulting project folder. If the recordings were made with another DAW, the single tracks should be exported from the beginning to the end of the song, regardless if there´s e.g. silence on one track in the beginning. Otherwise the starting points of the single tracks are messed up.

The takes were made in a professional studio with another program. The album's done and all but we needed those tracks to rehearse and play them with Live on stage. He sent me those tracks in WAV. I rendered the 15 tracks of the drums part easily into one AIFF file and it worked great, but it won't work with some others. What I don't get is why some files are played faster ONLY by Live. They're played as they should by VLC, iTunes... I tried converting the WAV into AIFF prior to drop them in Live but it won't change a thing... I'll look into the warp thing Ashtonron but I don't even now what it is and how to turn it on or off (yet)
If I find out I'll let you know.

To Christian: yes the tracks were made on another DAW but the sound guy who sent me all those tracks did it well. All the tracks from all the songs are all the same length. For example all the tracks from that song are 4.42, they're not cut or anything I should just need to drop them and render. As I said it worked with the 15 tracks used to create the final drums track....
