Mapping Clip Stop buttons Problem

anyone ever have a problem doing this?

I'm testing out an X-Tempo pok and I can't get the clip stop buttons to map to key commands. They won't even listen directly from the computer keyboard. The problem goes across any clip stops in tracks, the main clip stop button at the bottom of the tracks, and the global clip stop buttons in the Master track AND the Transport.

BTW, can't map the Metronome to turn on and off either.

I have 7.0.7 on a MacBook Pro running 10.4.9 with a 2.16 proc.

Thanks!

figured it out

In a word(s): Computer MIDI Keyboard

Though I knew that, the glitch in this was the fact that the first mapping I did was with the "Q" key. That worked even in Computer MIDI Keyboard. Why? Because it's not a note in the keyboard note series!!!!!!!!! Ugh. "A" = C, while "W" is C#, but there's no pitch assignment for "Q".

So, that's that.

Sorry for the hiccup.

lol

I remember doing exactly that once.

Anyhow, I'm able to map keys or midi notes to the Track Stop buttons (at the bottom of each track, just above the I/O) but they simply aren't responding to either midi or key commands. They only work with a mouse click.

:?:

What am I missing?

Amazing.

With "Select On Launch" enabled, the tracks are selected when I hit the midi note or key command I've mapped to the Track Stop buttons.

But the clips still don't stop.
