------------------------------------------------------------------------
suggestion for live 4:

how about making the scene up/scene down feature via midi
non-channel dependant ( as a option in the preferences ).

Since live -as it is now- only allows 1 open session at the time, I use the system as described by 'solovox' in the 'How are some using Live for Live?' -thread. (using different midichannels to trigger scenes/session clips in different songs, all in one session).

But, unfortunately this means one can't use the a same set of designated keys for scene up scene down (for instance the 3 lowest on my keyboard) in all songs. This is because when you define the midimapping for the "scene up/ scene down /scene play", the midichannel on the keys you press gets defined too. Switchin to another midichannel on the keyboard to play in another song, those keys don't work anymore..

So, by just adding an 'all midi channel' option in the preferences for "scene up / scene down /scene play" controlling 'Live' from the keyboard ,would be made made more consistent. (the keyboard is still my favorite, much more secure during a show than looking/reaching over at the laptop keyboard, too fiddly, especially in darkish venues)...
