I tried everything. I talked to tech support so many times. They said that I have to go and reset my IRQ's . All my other devices work fine. I will try one more thing and if nothing happens I am returning it.

I had an M-Audio Quattro audio/MIDI USB interface that was dreadful. It would work fine at home, so I'd take it to a gig, & it would utterly fail. I'd exclaim "Never again!"

Then it would work fine at home again for months. So I would figure, "I guess it's actually OK, must have been a fluke". I'd take it to a gig, & it would fail again!

This happened a number of times, it just kept tricking me!

I had to abandon it. Gave it to a friend who actually wanted the thing. I would have preferred smashing it to pieces! Ahhhhhh... That would been a nice feeling. Bad gear should be punished.

I've got to the point to decide that I will NEVER EVER buy any m-audio thing anymore. Probably not even if Avid/Digi gets bought by Rme. The only thing that worked fairly for its price its the triggerfinger. The driver for the Firewire 1814 I still keep at home (because years ago I paid 500 euros for it) is STILL crap. The Leopard one doesn't work if you don't switch sample rates (!). I only keep this to play around with protools m-powered, but using it with Live is sometimes dreadful (got 1024 samples in the buffer and still crackles, go burn in hell. Same session with a Fireface, all smooth from the start). Don't have the money now, but I'd really get a FF400 tomorrow and ditch the bitch.
The only real product they put out that's really worth the money is the Dmp3 preamp, which is very usable and really good sounding. On a clean system, their midiusb stuff is fairly stable, but that's about it.

I do like my little Midisport 2x2 USB MIDI I/O. Fairly flawless. But these were created long before the rapid M-Audio growth took place.

Ive worked with many m-audio soundcards (actually own one) and i have never experienced problems, altough i really dont like m-audio products too much (design, specs, sound) i wonder why people complains a lot.

I would hate m-audio less but here in mexico 9 out of 10 stores sell m-audio.

The last thing they told me was to reset my IRQ's because there was a conflict with the ports. I tried everything and nothing. My other USB devices all work fine.
