Hi all,

After 6 months I've finished my first original track, which is a house track aimed at the dancefloor.

I'd be very grateful for feedback, particularly in terms of mixing levels etc.

I applied Ozone Izotope to get the levels up, and file is 96kbps so I could get it uploaded.

Kind regards
James

Yeah man I like it. I can definatly hear this being played somewhere to wind down the end of the night. I would like to hear more of what you've done

There's no bass or lead?? There sounds like some ambient and voice toward the middle of the track. But the whole jam is pretty much percussion.

I liked the beat but give me a thick bassline or a rezzy lead or something to sit on top of that beat

Dig it man. Nice job. Did you just use abletons resonator for the resonance? I like the pitch shifting too. What plugins did you use beside izotope?

Welcome to minimal house. There is a bassline though...

Yep I just used Ableton's resonator and automated the frequency and the pitch shifting (which I found by accident could also be automated, I love it!)

Just used Izotope with the limiting, multiband compression on the lower levels and only a tiny amount but I'm so new to this that I'm sure i'm doing the wrong thing with it.

The bassline....well, I thought it was alright but got some good feedback on KVR and I'm using a woodblock type of instrument. I'm gonna have a look at either layering it with another 'proper' bass instrument or redoing it, as it lacks the impact I think.
