When I tried to install the sampler given on the website, it asked for a serial number which I didn't have at the time so I clicked "cancel". When I tried to install the sampler thing again it said it had already been installed.. but Im guessing that means it doesn't work and still needs to be unlocked.. Any clue how to solve this?

In the "Authorizations" Tab of the Preferences you can enter any serial number you got, which will unlock the corresponding product.
