I'm getting a set of these today but I'm wondering if it's worth an extra $100 for the 6's. I'd rather have bigger monitors, but if it isn't worth the extra price, then I'll just get the 5's.

Or are the V4 Series IIs better than the new gen of rokit?

get the 6s.......the RP5s have literally no bass...not that you shpuld expect it from such small speakers (5")...

I plan on getting the subwoofer too.

I am really happy wih my V4's (first series). Enough bass to shake my desk and blow my hair.
Really depends on what you want and how big your room is.
A small room with big speakers gives a lot of problems and not a consistent sound (standing waves, etc).

A friend of mine has the RP8's and i think they're too big for his room (16 m2).

I really love my RP5s. No subsonic earthquake but I like the tightness of the bass...

you dont want something with too much bass... you want something ACCURATE.

So the 5s are good as long as I get the sub?

you'll be fine with the sub
