eobody2 midi problem

hi folks :!:

new to this place and already have a question:

i'm using e.g. korg microkontrol and have no problems with midi mapping in LIVE.
recently bought eobody2 and everything's installing perfectly - but in Live main window the MIDI status LED (in the upper right corner) isn't blinking when using the potentiometer-sensor.

this is the tutorial for connecting eobody 2 ableton:
http://www.eowave.com/downloads/pdf/eob ... l_T1_2.pdf

where could be the problem and how could i track it down? any ideas welcome!

cheers,
sabotage

hi,

basically it is set up same as in the eobody tutorial ... input and output for USB midi device is ticked on with track & remote.

i think all is configured correctly in ableton, and the problem is not due to midi settings in ableton, BUT communication between eobody and ableton somehow doesn't work.

any idea where the problem is coming from?

thx,
sabotage

Does the sensor work in other applications?

hola!

thx for assisting... just tested with an other application and it doesn't work :(

if testing with my usual midi set-up (microKONTROL>M-Audio USB Quattro>application) all is working fine, no problem with assigning midi to action.

problem comes up by trying to connect eobody via USB to application - eventually a USB driver interference / using the wrong USB port at the laptop?

what could i do to track down further ?

any info/help welcome!

cheers,

Start by testing the potentiometer connection, do try it with a different sensor.

0k, i tested everything, almost every possible set up was checked, even un- and reinstalled Live, but no chance - cant get eobody working :(

only point left is to check the USB to application signal flow .... anyone an idea which software can handle such checks??

or worst case scenario is that eobody isn't working and i have to send back my new toy ... which of course i want to avoid a.s.a.p!!

please help :!:

cheers,

hi, have you tested the sensor with the eobody editor? is there a signal? mine works in ableton but is very stubborn too.

write to the eobody people. Either your sensor is faulty, or there is something wrong with your install. Either way they should be able to help you.
