Yes, I'm curious if anybody's got advice on getting T-shirts made for a band?

Wondering if it is cheaper/better to buy, say 100, t-shirts bulk at, say $2.00 or so a piece from just a t-shirt vendor/mfr. and then have then shipped directly to a screen printer to do the screen printing.

Or...maybe it would be a better deal to just have one place do it all, a la: full turnkey style?

They would be colored shirts (not white) with probably a 1-2 color decal to be printed only on the front of the shirt.

Anybody have any experience or advice on doing this effectively? We'd like to get about 100-150 shirts, I think.

Looking to do this for as little $$ and as little headache as possible.

Please help.

You are in Chi. You should be able to find someplace local that you can buy them wholesale for $2-4. You should also be able to find someplace local to do the screening too.

The Yellowbook will do you well.

Make sure you save your screens! You can make more later, and that's the biggest charge.

http://www.cafepress.com allows you to set up an online store, order them from there at their lowest price (yes, they get a cut) and sell them from your store at a retail price of your choosing.

now, in terms of cheaper, it is not as cheap as getting the blank tees and then doing them with silkscreen or something, but it is just a quick as uploading a .jpg or .png. Their cheapest tee is $10.

may or may not be the cheapest but you'll get good quality and he will do
any size run you want.... but the more shirts the cheaper is is per shirt.
plan on doing a 1 color print.. its cheaper.
