M-Audio Oxygen 8 Randomly Disconnects from Live

I'm running Live 7.0.9 with the above MIDI controller.

I'm finding sometimes that after running a set for a while, Live stops responding to the Oxygen 8. I press a key or move a controller, but no MIDI input is coming into Live. The Oxygen 8 was working fine on startup, and I haven't changed any settings.

In the latest occurrence of this, I am running Resolume 2.41 VJ software at the same time, and it continues to accept MIDI input from the same keyboard.

I have to exit Live and restart for Live to accept MIDI input again.

Is this a known bug? Does anyone know why this might be happening?

From memory, this might have happened once with my Edirol PCR-800 a while back, but I didn't investigate at the time.

Thanks
Richard

Turn off power management to the USB hubs in device manager; M-Audio USB devices don't like it.

Go into device manager and right click on a USB hub to bring up its properties. Under power management, uncheck any checked boxes. Repeat for each hub and reboot. Done.

Great thanks ... will this affect the operation of USB for any other devices?
