I never thought I'd say it, but I'm now glad Ableton introduced crazy time sigs in Live.
I can't stop listening to Prog-Rock and Folk-Rock. Even Krautrock.
WTF is wrong with me? I'm really enjoying this stuff.

I just wrote a really long and witty reply, which included pictures of Robin Hood, jesters, Alan Hackshaw and Czechaslovakian goths, , and by the time I hit submit, I had been logged out, and it was all lost.
FUck this shit.

haha I can relate. I used to hate prog rock but now I can't get enough of it. Ever since I traded the guitar in for synthesizers I've developed a taste for vintage 70s synth sounds. I even listen to Genesis now.

No shame in liking prog rock. Here's one of my all time favorites:

There IS more out there than repetitive, constant-tempo 4/4! I'm glad the Abes are finally getting it.
No matter how sick I get of music, I can always listen to Rush, especially the early stuff. Pure virtuosity and originality, without being over-the-top a la Dream Theater. Genuine nice guys, too.
Brilliant. Saw them in London last year. Fantastic show, apart from the dog shit acoustics of Wembley Arena.

that part where they sounded like Primus was awesome.
the rest... very 'Canadian'
dunno man, suicide might be the answer to prog rock. maybe when Isaac Hayes died, a little bit of you went with him.
there is no soul in prog rock.

2 of my brothers just saw them at Summerfest in Milwaukee this year. They were right up Geddy Lees ass (6 rows up stage right, something like 15 feet away). Lucky fuckers, all of you. They're up there on my must see list.

Prog rock is sick. Love it. Its the first music i really liked that got me into playing guitar.
Yes, King Crimson, Rush, Mahavishnu Orchestra and more recently Mars Volta.. love it.

One of the best concerts I ever saw was Thanksgiving night, 1971 at the New York Academy of Music on E. 14th Street - Procol Harum headlining, King Crimson was 2nd on the bill (Robert Fripp had two mellotrons onstage.), and the opening act was Yes - with Rick Wakeman on his first tour with the band.
