Hello,

When I load one of my songs it says that "Samples are missing. Please click here to learn more".
Nothing happens when I click there. Usually I get to this "sample manager" menu but not this time.

The same goes for clicking"File" and then "Manage Files...". No response at all.
What could be the problem, and how do I solve this?

I downloaded version 7.09 today but I also had that problem with version 7.07

I'm on a PC running WinXP. Haven't tried to open the song on my MacBook because I haven't got the same plugins on that machine.

Hi Andreas,

please contact [email protected] with your log.txt file included. You can find the file in this directory:

C:/Documents and Settings/your user name/Application Data/Ableton/Live/Preferences


Note that on some Windows systems the application data folder is hidden by default. Here is what you have to do to make it visible:

Windows XP/2000

1. Launch Explorer.
2. Select Tools/Folder Options/View.
3. Check "Show hidden files and folders."

read many post about this when live 7 had just arrived, can´find them now, or remember exactly how to solve it.

I do believe there was a thread saying that you should install your newer version while still having the older one installed. then remove the old one, remove the new one. and install the new one again.

can´t confirm if this was the way to do it. I remember I did it though and it worked out good.

I get the exact same thing in Live 7.0.10, even when the default live set opens when the program is started?

Can somebody confirm if this is normal? I installed ableton 7 today but there are no default clips or anything with it even though I watched it install a bunch of them.

Same here, but only happens after uninstalling previous versions, set to "automatic". As far as i can see now there are NO samples missing.

I reinstalled all my live packs. Do the live packs contain ALL the factory content or am I still missing some? Not that I really need them, but I thought live came with some audio clip packs. All the sounds this has are samples for the various software instruments.
