Operator Improvements Wishlist!

Operator is an
almost perfect synthesizer
A few more tweaks and I would use nothing else ...
Here are some suggestions I have read about elsewhere on the forum:
- Formant / Comb Filters
- Randomize button
- Envelope Points
- Basic wavetable synthesis option
- More standard VA/subtractive options - Ring Mod, PWM
- 2 LFOs
- True PWM

Definitely more LFOs and modulation options, better filters too although I could make that as a sweeping statement right accross the board where Live's filter based fx are concerned. Operator probably needs filters less than any other synth tho, so that's a subjective one.

An option so that the LFO runs freely and doesn't restart every note. ... and an LFO phase parameter.

What would you most like to see done to improve this fantastic instrument?
Some minor but welcomed improvements were made in Liev 7, and I'm hoping for more in Live 8.
Here are some suggestions I have read about elsewhere on the forum:
- Randomize button
- Envelope Points
- Better mod wheel support.
- More modulation routing or a mod matrix, LFO->Amplitude, Tone knob env, etc
- Basic wavetable synthesis option
- More standard VA/subtractive options - Ring Mod, PWM
- More LFOs
Any more guys?
Ableton please don't forget your loyal customers who bought Operator!
+1

-ability to flip open the panel, so you get everything on one page!
Most of us use 20" LCDs or larger now. Space is not a problem anymore.
Would be great for sampler and analog, and Racks as well.

Yep, much more lfos and a modular lfo routing panel.
- 1 for the randomize button...

A customizable algorithm so the user can create their own voice modulations & route voices back to themselves.

Click for larger image.
Each square could have a dropdown menu to choose a voice and would flow the same way as existing algo's from top to bottom.

also, I'd like to have a real noise osc instead of the phony sampled loop.

Comb and Formant filters... and one more LFO would be cherry on top.

Keeping my fingers crossed for any Operator improvements in Live 10.

I wish for a complete overhaul of all the Live synths, including Sampler. I get better sounds from free softsynths than what Ableton offers in Live Suite. That can't remain so.

Operator needs :
Ability to globally pitch down That's insane not to have it !
a mode with a global envelope shared by all ops
lfos to many new destinations

Yes!
Nine years later, it's time for an upgrade to Operator, indeed.
